More Than a Content Creator

Warami (hello), I’m Britney, but you can call me Brit.

I’m more than a UGC creator. I’m a mum, wife, proud Burramattagal woman of the Dharug nation and mechatronic engineer based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Before Socials by Brit

I completed a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechatronics at the University of Technology Sydney.

While studying, I worked as an undergraduate mechanical engineer at JHA Consulting Engineers, focusing on building services design, technical documentation, inspections, and HVAC projects.

I then worked with CSIRO’s Young Indigenous Women’s STEM Academy as an Academic Coordinator. In this role, I served as a role model, providing guidance, assistance, and support to female and female-identifying students participating in the Academy using a case management approach. I established, maintained, and fostered respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities, and industry partners. I also networked with companies, universities, and industry partners to offer students meaningful opportunities.

After graduating, I joined CSIRO as a Research Technician in Quantum Systems Integration as part of CSIRO’s Research Development Indigenous Graduate Program. My work involved robotics, software, mechanical design, testing and system integration. This strengthened my ability to research unfamiliar subjects, work through complex problems and communicate technical information clearly.

But before entering engineering, I worked in fashion retail, progressing from Sales Assistant to Visual Merchandiser, Shift Supervisor, and Acting Assistant Manager while working across stores and distribution operations in Queensland and New South Wales. This experience taught me how customers evaluate products, what influences their purchasing decisions, and how clear presentation communicates value.

A woman in a graduation gown and cap stands outdoors in front of large white letters spelling 'U' and part of 'N'. She is smiling, dressed in a red dress with black floral patterns and white open-toe shoes. The background shows a green lawn, modern office buildings, and a few people walking.
A bride and groom holding hands on a beach, with the bride smiling back at the camera, wearing a white wedding gown and veil, and the groom in a dark blazer and khaki pants, with rocks and sand in the foreground and hills in the background under a clear sky.

My Content Creation Journey

After becoming a mum, I wanted to build a career that let me combine creativity, strategy, and meaningful work while staying present for my family. That led me to create Socials by Brit.

Since beginning my UGC journey, I have worked with more than 30 brands across beauty, skincare, baby care, health, wellness, home, fragrance, food, lifestyle and travel.

I now create short-form videos and product photography for organic social and paid advertising. My work includes research, concept development, scriptwriting, filming, editing and adapting each idea to the brand, audience, platform and campaign goal.

What I Bring to Every Collaboration

My experience shapes every part of my creative process.

  • Engineering taught me to research thoroughly, solve problems and pay attention to detail.

  • Education taught me to make unfamiliar or technical information easy to understand.

  • Community work strengthened my communication, organisation and ability to work with different people.

  • Retail gave me insight into customer needs, purchasing decisions and product presentation.

  • Motherhood allows me to create honest content grounded in real routines and lived experience.

  • Content creation brings these skills together through strategic concepts, clear messaging and relatable storytelling.

My path into content creation was unexpected, but every experience has shaped how I create thoughtful content with your brand and its customers in mind.

Let’s Work Together
